Why the keto diet? Because it is the best source of energy for our body. The carbs in everyone's body is what turns into glucose, which turns into sugar and stored fat. This is why people have a hard time burning fat, losing belly fat, building lean muscle and building a lean muscle mass as well. When their body takes in fat, carbs, and protein the body deals with the carbs and uses that and leaves the fat around. When starting a Ketogenic diet, you go 75% fat, 20% protein, and 5% carbs. “I’m having tons of Fat? That doesn’t make sense.”. When doing this with your macros, your body no longer has a glucose source. It has a fat source, so it uses the fat as fuel. It burns fat in your body while no longer looking to glucose (carb) fuel. Then your body will go into the ‘Ketosis’ mode, which is the healthiest mode your body can be in, and the mode that fuels the bodies health, performance, results, intellectual ability, and longevity. It starts to use ketones and no longer has glucose, so your body becomes fueled in burning fat.
